How to use AI to learn something new
Asking an assistant for the answer feels productive but teaches little. Asking it to explain, quiz and check you is where it earns its place as a study partner.

Ask for an explanation at your level
Explain [concept] like I am smart but have never studied it. Use one everyday analogy, then give me 2 practice questions and check my answers when I reply.
Make it quiz you
Retrieving an answer from memory is what makes it stick. Ask for questions, answer before you look, then ask the assistant to grade you and explain anything you missed.
Quiz me on [topic], one question at a time, starting easy and getting harder. Do not tell me the answer until I try.
Teach it back
Explain the idea in your own words and ask the assistant to point out gaps or misunderstandings. If you can teach it, you probably know it.
