How to use AI to write a thank-you or condolence note
Some of the hardest notes to write are the shortest ones. An assistant can help you past the blank page, but the note only works if it sounds like you and includes something only you would say.

Give it the one detail that matters
A note feels sincere because of one specific thing: what the person did, or a memory you share. The assistant can't know that, so tell it.
Help me write a short [thank-you / condolence] note to [who]. The reason: [what happened]. Include this detail: [a specific memory or thing they did]. Keep it warm and simple, 3 to 4 sentences, with no clichés.
Make it sound like you
- Read it out loud. Change any phrase you would never say.
- Ask: "Make it plainer and less formal."
- Handwrite it if you can. The words matter, but so does the effort.
